94.7 Highveld Stereo announces line-up changes

Friday, February 14, 2014:

94.7 Highveld Stereo has announced various lineup changes within weekday and weekend programming.

With effect from March 10, 2014, current 7pm-10pm weeknight presenter Stacey Norman will take over the weekday 9am-12pm slot.

Cutting her teeth into radio at a young age, Stacey has fast become one of the most influential rising stars in the industry. Her recent MTN Radio Award nominations are testament to that.

Alex Jay who currently hosts the 9am-1pm weekday show on 94.7 Highveld Stereo, will take over the weekend 7am-10am breakfast shows across 94.7 Highveld Stereo and sister station 94.5Kfm on Saturday and Sunday. With over 25 years in the music industry, Alex Jay is no stranger to South African audiences and is one of the legends of radio in the country. "Alex Jay has made a significant contribution to the weekday line-up and he is a big part of the story of 94.7," said Ravi Naidoo, 94.7 Highveld Stereo Programming Manager.

The Tholi B Show which runs every weekday between 1pm-4pm, will now move to 12pm-3pm slot. The weekday drive time show with Anele will kick off at 3pm and run to 7pm, as of the 10th of March. Respected for her sharp wit, and loved for her vivaciousness, Anele has created a name for herself as one of South African radio's hottest personalities. Anele brings her unique and engaging style to the show, and she credits "being consistent" as one of her secrets to success.

Talented duo Greg and Lucky, who currently host the weekday 10-1am show, will move into the weekday 7pm-10pm slot. Presenting together on the station for over a year, both Greg and Lucky maintain that the golden rule about their show is the unpredictable, spontaneous and entertaining content that tends to catch their listeners "off guard." Perfect for weekday nights, Greg and Lucky's infectious vibe and combined energy, coupled with popular hits are exactly what listeners can look forward to.

Another change to look forward to is that the infamous 94 Hits in a Row presenter MacG will be adding the weeknight 10pm-1am slot to his impressive portfolio. MacG is known for heating up dance floors with house and dance music at the biggest events around South Africa. His successes landed him the opportunity to tour Africa with MTV Base, performing in countries such as Angola and Mozambique.

"We wish all our talent the best in their new roles. We have a great mix of fresh new talent coupled with big industry names that will continue to offer listeners a great experience," added Ravi Naidoo.

Main Weekday Line-Up as follows:

  • 12PM-3PM - THOLI B

  • 3PM-7PM - ANELE

  • 10PM-1AM - MAC G
