This weekend's cold front may be last decent rain for the traditionally rainy Cape July, reported weather man Joel guy on KFM on Sunday morning.
Despite what has been dubbed fake news reports of another mega storm, this cold front has been a normal one for the Cape winter.
Guy says the rain received over the weekend was pegged at 10mm per hour.
So if it rained for five hours then that will be an accumulation of about 50mm of rain which could be quite significant.Joel Guy, meteorologist
He says that this may be the last big rainfall for July. July is historically the biggest rain fall month for Cape Town.
Meanwhile, snow has fallen on the Cape mountains of the Matroosberg and Hottentots Holland. Guy says if you want to go snow hunting best you go early as the sun will melt quickly.
