Parents of children studying at the Mitchells Plain school of Skills raised complaints that the school has told them to only get their uniform at Felix Sports in Mitchells Plain despite the Competition Commission advising schools against that.
Parents are also complaining that the till slip from Felix Sports says "no refunds, no returns and no exchanges".
CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies spoke to National Consumer Commission spokesman, Trevor Hattingh to find out if it is illegal for shops to give those conditions to customers.
According to Hattingh, what is written on Felix Sports till slip is a clear violation of consumer protection.
When I heard about that I was very upset. That is a no-brainer, it is a clear violation of the Consumer Protection Act.Trevor Hattingh, National Consumer Commission spokesman
