Jimmy Nevis launches long-awaited third studio album

JimmyNevis’ long-awaited third studio album - Chimera – explores the many facets that make up not only the man but also the musician. Much like the mythical creature the album takes inspiration from, fans – as well as newcomers to Nevis’ music – should prepare to be immersed in 17 tracks that delve deep into the artist’s distinctly diverse personal facets, as well as his eclectic musical proclivities and the myriad of genres his music has begun to explore since his career began over six years ago.

Due for release across all digital platforms on Friday, 18 May 2018, Chimera was a labour of love for 25-year-old Nevis, who toiled over more than 40 songs before deciding which would make the final cut. “Music has always been a staple in my life but it’s only most recently, since I began to explore the inner reaches of my being, that I became aware of the many parts that make up who I am and that influence how I write songs,” says Nevis. “Chimeraneatly encapsulates many of the emotions, tribulations, questions, as well as my growth as an individual over the past 25 years.”

The first single off the album – Stay in Your Lane – speaks to all those questioning whether they should follow their hearts. “If there’s one fantastical pearl of wisdom I can share with everyone right now, it’s that you should follow your calling; be that salmon swimming upstream because that’s what makes you who you are and so perfectly different from everyone else,” adds Nevis. “The road to your own success may be strewn with difficulties along the way but I can promise you the reward will be worth it.”

Chimera available for download across all digital platforms from today.
