Newborn girl rescued from drain pipe in Durban

JOHANNESBURG - A newborn baby has been rescued from a drain pipe in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) on Monday morning.
The little girl had been dumped in Newlands East, Durban.
She's been airlifted to hospital and is in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the matter.
KZN EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie said: “It’s good news for the ending of this rescue today. We would like to congratulate the rescue personnel and paramedics who worked together to rescue this little girl today. The community was very helpful and supportive which we are also grateful for.”
