Deep In The City
The King of Deep House decided it was imperative that deep house be celebrated throughout December in the beautiful city of gold and we’re here for it. Every Sunday, Black Coffee and DJs such as Euphonik bring a whole vibe to the Republic of 94 in Braamfontein. It’s nothing but good music, yummy drinks and great company. With sets from the like of Euphonik, De Capo and Euphonik, it’s the perfect way to wind down any weekend. It’s happening until the 6th of January.
Christmas Carol At Monte Casino
Any and every Christmas is made by the Charles Dickens classic: A Christmas Carol. It’s showing at Pieter Toerien’s Theatre at Monte Casino from the 28th of November until the 6th of January 2019. Christmas Village At Monte
From 12-17 December, Monte Casino is turning the Piazza and Grassy Area into an enchanting Christmas market and it’s not only cost effective, but it also sounds like all the right kind of fun for the whole family. It’s their 5th annual Christmas Village where over 60 exhibitors will be showcasing all-things-Christmas. The kids will be able to enjoy their favourite movies, such as; The Incredibles 2 and Over the Hedge at 6PM daily. The shopping I nonstop with unique gifts and festive décor on sale. Friends Summer Market 2018
If you’re up for a little bit of a drive with the destination of a fun market, them the Friends Summer Market is where you need to make your way to on the 1st of December. Dave Chapelle In SA
When it comes to comedy shows this festive, the comedy show that you can’t afford to miss is brought to us courtesy of Live Nation Comedy and Real Comedy. The American stand-up comedian and actor Dave Chappelle will be bringing his brash brand of comedy to the continent for the first time with three shows in South Africa. Queen – It’s a Kind Of Magic
Emperor’s Palace is bringing us ‘Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic!’ to their Theatre of Marcellus from 30 November – 31 December 2018. The production comes all the way from Australia and it recreates the famous band’s 1986 World Tour concert and you get to be entertained by over 20 of the greatest hits. Abantu Book Festival 2018
The 6-9 of December, the Abantu Book Festival sets out to celebrate the rich and diverse African literary heritage. Poetry, musical performances, writing and publishing workshops, dance, photography, local literature and so much more will be in the spotlight and it is said to be suitable for the whole family. We’re always here for some silly fun and 13 Pubs of xmas is definitely bringing the fun side of the festive season to life. It’s been dubbed: “Jozi’s most outrageous Christmas-themed pub crawl”. On the 15th of December, you’ll get to dress up in your most interesting Christmas outfit and make your way to 12 pubs in the 1Fox Precint. The Soweto Ink Festival is definitely a must for all tattoo lovers. The best tattoo artists in Joburg will be showcasing their works of art, there’ll be 10 000 tattoo voucher giveaways and a hot line-up for the day.
