Watch movies together, apart with Netflix Party

Social distancing doesn't have to mean the end of movie night!

While it's great to get together with friends or family to watch a movie or binge the latest must-see-TV show, the number one priority right now is to stay safe and flatten the curve of infections from the coronavirus disease.

Cue, Netflix Party - a Chrome browser extension that allows people to watch remotely together with a bonus group chat feature.

Once installed, all you have to do is log in, share a viewing link with friends, and choose one person to be in charge of picking what you watch.

Your chosen show will play out in the bulk of the screen, with a chatroom on the right-hand side.

Not only can you customise your Netflix Party by choosing a fun user icon and nickname, but the chat also supports uploading screenshots, emojis and GIFs to add some spice to your group chat.
