If you're feeling bored under lockdown and looking for something to do, here are 10 things to try out to keep yourself occupied and sane!

FIND YOUR FLOW WITH YOGA

If you have your own home office and find yourself tensed up at your desk, why not take 30 minutes to do some deep breathing and yoga?

Try new poses and sets every day and if you have kids, get them to join you!

If they don’t yet have the attention span for a full 30 minutes make it fun by getting them to make up their own poses.

CHOOSE JOY BY DECLUTTERING YOUR CLOSET

Now is the perfect time to get your winter items out as the seasons start changing.

If there are clothes that you haven’t worn in 6 months or are too small, why not put them in bags and donate them to a local shelter or goodwill store?

And while you’re at it, why not tackle the Tupperware cupboard? Now's the perfect time to finally match all the containers to their elusive lids.

COFFEE DATES WITH MATES

Remember all those times you and your friends kept making promises to see each other for coffee? Now is the time!

Schedule a coffee or lunch date with your friends and over WhatsApp or Zoom video chat. The good thing is that you know for a fact that they are at home.

No more conflicting and busy schedules.

DANCE, DANCE!

Do you have a song that you know all the lyrics to? A favourite song that just makes you want to get up and dance? How about making a music video to that song?

Put on those sexy heels, do your makeup and dance it out on camera. Use your hairbrush as a mic (like we used to do as kids) find props and even rope your lockdown partners in too.

It's so much fun to watch it afterwards and have a good laugh.

MONEY ON MY MIND

Now is the perfect time to work on your finances.

Since the lockdown started, most of us have already started spending less. Less eating out, less Uber rides and unnecessary expenses.

How about using this time to redo your finances and finding some way to save a little more? Once the lockdown is lifted try and stick to your financial plan and use the extra cash to go towards a holiday, or towards fancy gifts in December.

NEW LOOK

Rearrange your bedroom or lounge so that it looks completely different.

Being cooped up in your home for 21 long days can be monotonous, changing your living space can make it feel like a completely new room.

TEACH YOUR DOG NEW TRICKS

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Trick training will stimulate your dog both mentally and physically and it's also a fun bonding experience for you and your pooch.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Easter is coming up and even though we will all be spending the holiday in lockdown, why not use whatever you have in the house to make Easter table decorations?

You can make napkin holders from empty toilet rolls or use your garden to find interesting table settings.

GREENFINGERS

Use your veggie scraps and start your own vegetable garden. You don’t need lots of space to get started, just lots of sunlight and water.

BAKER MAN

Do you love shortbread biscuits? Or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting? Use this time to perfect your baking skills.

If you are a lover of freshly baked bread, make it yourself with different flavour combinations.

There are countless tutorials on YouTube, and even tips on how to make your own yeast using old fruit, flour and water.
